Device sensors â€” accelerometer and gyroscope for crash/fall detection
Device and usage data to improve reliability and performance

To provide safety features â€” SOS alerts, geofences, live location, and check-ins
To send emergency notifications to your family circle
To communicate important app updates
To improve the app and protect against abuse

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only:

With your designated family circle during emergencies
With service providers who help us operate the app (Firebase, Twilio, SendGrid)
When required by law or to protect safety

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
Secure cloud infrastructure via Firebase / Google Cloud
Access limited to authorised personnel only

5. Data Retention

Personal data: retained while your account is active
Location history: 30 days
Audio recordings: deleted immediately after processing

6. Permissions

Location, notifications, microphone, and sensors are opt-in and used solely to power safety features. You can disable any permission in your device settings.

7. Your Rights

Access and correct your personal information
Delete your account and all associated data
Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Children's Privacy

Zone Tick is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
